From 29 August until 1 September, the 4th International Conference on ICT for Sustainability will be held in Amsterdam. The conference brings leading researchers in ICT for Sustainability together with stakeholders such as government and industry representatives. UNESCO-IHE Associate Professor of Water Innovation Studies Uta Wehn is a member of the conferences’ program committee.

This year’s International Conference on ICT for Sustainability (ICT4S) is held in conjunction with Amsterdam Business School (ABS) and KIT. The conference, themed ‘’Smart and Sustainable”, will include workshops held at ABS and conversations held at KIT. The transformational power of ICT is essential in creating a smarter and increasingly sustainable society. In order to achieve this, it needs to be embraced by the public and private sectors, and applied on both business goals and environmental objectives. The ICT4S program committee includes UNESCO-IHE Associate Professor of Water Innovation Studies Uta Wehn and 48 other members from organisations around the world.

This year’s conference topics will include energy-efficient and energy-aware software engineering, sustainability in business and organizations and the challenges facing an environmentally sustainable ICT industry.

More information on the conference will follow on the ICT4S website.
