Master of Education in Curriculum Design and Development (MEDCDD 2016)

The first Master of Education in Curriculum Design and Development (MEDCDD 2016), jointly implemented by UNESCO (IBE, ED/ESC/TED) and the Open University of Tanzania (OUT), will start on 25 July 2016.

Details

This Master Course aims to promote cutting edge training on curricular issues in Africa within an international comparative perspective and with the view  to contributing to the achievement of equitable quality education. It is a conceptual and methodological tool for strengthening capacities for curricular analysis, review, evaluation, design and development at macro, meso and micro levels of the education system, with an emphasis on the school level.
 
Designed for education policy makers, planners, curriculum developers, teacher trainers, quality assurance officers, researchers, international staff and other partners in education at the local, national and regional levels, the Master can be pursued on a part-time basis, including a two-week face to face intensive session where participants’ attendance is required (10 days of 8 hours each at OUT, Dar es Salaam, 25 July – 5 August 2016), followed by distance learning activities during the academic year, with a flexible timeframe according to exit points. Training material  and sessions will be delivered in English and French.
