Carolien Jaspers MSc

Liaison Officer EU Relations

Biography

Together with her colleagues in the Liaison Office, Carolien Jaspers provides advice and support to academic staff in project acquisition, formulation and implementation. She identifies funding opportunities within the European programmes for education (Erasmus+), research (Horizon 2020) and capacity development (EuropeAid), amongst others. She also keeps contact with relevant donor organizations and European stakeholders, networks and task forces in the field of Water and Environment.

Carolien has a background in international relations, development and EU affairs. She joined UNESCO-IHE as Liaison Officer EU beginning of 2013. Before that she worked as policy advisor in various functions within the Dutch national and regional government. Carolien also dealt with food security and humanitarian projects as part of the Delegation of the EU based in Zambia.
