Hao Wang is working as a junior researcher at UNESCO-IHE since 1 September, 2014. She obtained her MSc degree in Water Resources and Environmental Management in 2012 at Leibniz University Hanover (LUH). Afterwards she worked at LUH and Coastal Research Center (FZK) successively in Germany, focusing on hydrological (SWAT) and hydrodynamic (SELFE & OpenFOAM) modeling respectively.

Her current research interests include long-term morphodynamics, hydrodynamic and morphodynamic numerical modeling (Delft3D & Xbeach). Now she works involved in the project CoCoChannel and try to contribute to coastal sustainable management around Marsdiep follow the new approach of Building-with-Nature. The main fields focus on decadal morphodynamic simulation, nourishment strategies, channel-shoal dynamics and morphological equilibrium conditions. Education efforts in the pipeline include co-supervising of MSc students and teaching.
