Kelly Fouchy

Project Coordinator

Biography

Kelly Fouchy is a project coordinator in the Water Science and Engineering Department at UNESCO-IHE. She has a background in aquatic ecology and integrated water resources management. She holds an MSc degree in Ecohydrology from a joint program between the University of Algarve in Portugal, the Federal University of Espirito Santo in Brazil and UNESCO-IHE. Her research interests lie largely in applied ecohydrology, environmental flows and agroecology.

Her current work consists of leading a team in the determination of the reserve (environmental flows) for the Mara River in Kenya and Tanzania, as part of water allocation planning, within the Mau Mara Serengeti (MaMaSe) Sustainable Water Initiative (www.mamase.org). She also provides technical support to the project management team by coordinating some of the project activities. Kelly has experience in project aquisition, field work organization, GIS, data management, French/ English/ German/ Portuguese translation, statistics and hydrological modelling.
