Lili Ji joined the IBE in 2006. She concentrates her efforts on the IBE capacity development programmes and partnerships, the production and application of curriculum resources/tools, and technical assistance to Member States. In this framework, she has worked with an extensive number of countries, in particular in Africa and Asia. Before joining the IBE, Ms Ji worked for the Secondary Education Section at UNESCO Headquarters.

She holds postgraduate degrees from IEP/Sciences Po Paris: PhD and MPhil in Sociology of Education, and a Master in International Studies. Following her completion of the IBE-led Postgraduate Diploma in Curriculum Design and Development, she has acted as the trainer in the Programme and has tutored 11 curriculum officers from 9 countries (Burkina Faso, Burundi, the Gambia, Haiti, Nigeria, Senegal, South Soudan, Tanzania, and the US). She continues supporting the expansion of the Diploma programme in other regions: Arab States, Asia-Europe, etc.
