UN Assembly adopts resolution proclaiming Third Industrial Development Decade for Africa

The Assembly called for enhanced international cooperation, including North-South,South-South and triangular cooperation, in support of Africa's industrialization, including through the implementation of the Third Decade, and reaffirms that South-South cooperation is not a substitute for, but is rather a complement to, North-South cooperation.

UN launches partnership initiative to promote South-South cooperation on climate change

A new initiative that will build partnerships that help developing countries to assist other developing countries implement the Paris Agreement on climate change and the 2030 Development Agenda was launched in New York by the United Nations in the margins of last week’s Climate Signing event.

PGTF Promotes South-South Cooperation in Renewable Energy

With Perez-Guerrero Trust Fund (PGTF) support, the International Center on Small Hydro Power (ICSHP) organized study tours welcoming technical experts from Asian and Latin American countries to China to demonstrate the achievements of small hydropower developments, and green hydropower practices in river basins. In 2013, 2014 and 2015 professionals and officials from India, Sri Lanka, Turkey and Uruguay joined the workshops and study tours.
