Las Partes deben someter informes periódicos “cada cuatro años […] acerca de las medidas que hayan adoptado para proteger y promover la diversidad de las expresiones culturales en sus respectivos territorios y en el plano internacional” (ver Artículo 9 (a) de la Convención).

En este sentido, las Partes deben someter a la Secretaría de la Convención su primer informe periódico cuatro años después de haber ratificado la Convención, y después, los subsiguientes, cada cuatro años.

Each Party submits, the fourth year following the year in which it deposited its instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession, and every fourth year thereafter, a report to the Conference of Parties for its examination.

This Report shall provide qualitative and quantitative information on policies and measures Parties have taken to protect and promote the diversity of cultural expression at both the national and the international level, as well as on the impact and results of these policies and measures. The reports also provide statistical evidence, as much as possible, as well as best examples of measures and experiences Parties wish to share.

An interactive form was designed to facilitate the submission process. It follows an approved “Framework for Quadrennial Periodic Report on Measures to Protect and Promote the Diversity of Cultural Expressions”, revised in June 2015, and annexed to the Operational Guidelines of the Convention on Article 9 “Information Sharing and Transparency”.
