Louis de Quelerij

Biography

Prof. Louis de Quelerij is a Director Fugro Ingenieursbureau BV, Faculty Civil Geosciences. Further, from 2011 until now Prof. Louis de Quelerij has been a Professor of Civil Engineering at Delft University of Technology (DUT), Faculty Civil Engineering and Geosciences (CITG) with a specialization in Deltatechnology. He is also a Chairman of the Core team and Board Member of the Dutch Network Deltatechnology. While being a Board Member at UNESCO-IHE, Quelerij is also a Board member of the Netherlands Water Centre (NWC); Quelerij is the Chairman of the TUD support group for the Deltaprogramme. From 2011-present he also functioned as a Member Projectboard Basware Procurement of DUT and has participated in the Consultancy related to innovation and knowledge development in the so-called golden triangle, that is: the cooperation of knowledge institutes, industry and governmental organizations.

From 2002 to 2011 Prof. Quelerij served as the Dean of the faculty CiTG en professor of Civil Engineering General Manager of the faculty including the departments Hydraulic Engineering, Water management, Transport & Planning, Building & Infrastructure and Geotechnology and 5 supporting staff groups Delft University of Technology (DUT), Faculty Civil Engineering and Geosciences (CITG).

Prof. Quelerij has been among others a Chairman of the Board of the 3-TU Research School Integral Design of Structures, a Board Member of the Knowledge Centre on Geo-Engineering (partner Institute Deltares) and a Chairman of the Board of the Knowledge Centre Building Process Innovation. 

From 2001 to now he has been the Director of Fugro Geoservices B.V. in Leidschendam, where he was responsible for the strategic advice on business development for FIBV; Fugro Environmental Engineering Belgium.
