This project aims at developing robust modeling tools in an international framework to assess deposition and erosion of fine sediments in reservoirs, floodplains and estuaries. Specific objectives: Calibration/validation of reservoir sedimentation processes with newly developed tools by international (i.e. Chinese and Egyptian) case studies. Calibration/validation of floodplain erosion and deposition processes with newly developed tools by international (i.e. Chinese and Egyptian) case studies. Calibration/validation of estuarine fine sedimentation processes newly developed tools by Chinese case study. To enhance international co-operation and knowledge exchange on fine sediment processes in reservoirs, floodplains and estuaries.
