Flood risk management in Bangladesh and the Netherlands will be compared, and enhanced, through examining the interactions and feedback loops between hydrological (e.g. flooding) and social (e.g. migration, urbanisation, governance) processes. The research will have a specific focus on the changing distribution of risk, and vulnerability of the (peri)urban poor population. Two Bangladeshi PhD students; one post-doctoral position in the Netherlands
