New ICT for Education Website Launched by UNESCO Bangkok

The UNESCO Office in Bangkok announces the launch of a new version of its ICT for Education website, replacing the old site with more user-friendly, easier to search databases and web-pages, up-to-date and comprehensive content; and a more attractive look and design.
Claimed to the "most comprehensive site on ICT for education in Asia and the Pacific" it provides up-to-date information resources on the use of ICT in education in the region.

The new site offers the following elements:
  • Re-organised and restructured webpages

  • Latest news and events on ICT in education in the region

  • Expanded, updated and easily searchable databases on resources

  • News and events on ICT activities in the region

  • ICT for education and related projects

  • ICT organizations, teacher training on ICT, and indicators

  • More powerful search strategies and engines

  • Additional sections included to ensure that all areas dealing with ICT use in education are covered

  • A chance to join the Advisory Team to help ensuring quality, currency, accuracy, relevance and usefulness to the site contents

  • "Join now" facility included to provide the users with additional services and alert them with updates

  • “Rate this” option in the Resources database
