ICT in Education Survey - Asia

New data available for 30 countries across the region

The UIS has published the results of its latest survey of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Education in Asia.

The data, covering 2011 and 2012, are now available in the UIS Centre de données and shed light on the role of ICT in policy, curriculum, infrastructure, and teacher training. Data on enrolment in programmes using ICT are also available.

A total of 30 countries from across the Asian region, including Central Asia, South and West Asia, and East Asia and the Pacific, participated in the survey. An analytical report is forthcoming.

The results of the latest survey add to a growing body of data on ICT in education. UIS surveys conducted in Latin America and the Caribbean and in five Arab States reveal the extent to which factors, such as education policy, teacher training and infrastructure, drive or hamper the integration of ICT in schools and the classroom.
