Ahead of the Olympic Games taking place in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil (5-21 August 2016), UNESCO invites you on a journey showcasing the power of sport values in all world regions.
Sport values such as equality, inclusion, respect, and fairness can empower learners to be responsible, committed, and active in society.
This photo exhibition is part of a campaign promoting the role of sport in delivering values education. Selected from hundreds of inspiring entries from more than 70 countries, these photos capture flashes of joy, camaraderie, and solidarity.
UNESCO has joined forces with major sport stakeholders in the framework of an Education Partnership aiming at embedding sports values across school-based curricula: the International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education, the International Fair Play Committee, the International Olympic Committee, the International Paralympic Committee, and the World Anti-Doping Agency.
