UNESCO and Sweden Annual Consultation on voluntary contributions

06 July 2016

On 19 April 2016, UNESCO and Sweden held their annual review meeting on extrabudgetary cooperation, contributing thus to strengthening the ongoing dialogue and partnership.

The objective of the annual review meeting was to review the cooperation under the Programme Cooperation Agreement (2014-2017) for the year 2015. It was also the occasion to engage in  a policy dialogue, together with Norway, on future cooperation in line with the structured financing dialogue and the last related decision adopted by the Executive Board at its last session. The possibility of joint Nordic Annual Review Meetings was also discussed and welcomed by all parties attending the meeting. A concrete follow-up will be quickly ensured.

Both Sweden and UNESCO expressed their satisfaction towards the current partnership and will start discussing a possible new PCA that would be launched in 2018.
