Prof. Arthur Mynett ScD, MSc

Biography

Arthur Mynett is Emeritus Professor in Hydraulic Engineering and till November 2015 previous Head of the Department of Water Science Engineering at UNESCO-IHE.

He has over 32 years of experience in research and development in areas of civil and maritime engineering. He has done important research and development work in applications of information and communication technologies in environmental hydroscience and engineering.

His career in consultancy extends over 27 years where he has worked worldwide in the field of hydrodynamics, coastal engineering, maritime structures, water resources management, environmental modelling and software systems development. During the last 17 years, Prof. Mynett has also gained much experience in strategic and corporate research management, including strategic planning as well as human resources and financial management of organisations.
