What made you decide to study this particular programme?
I decided to study this program, because such programs create exposure to one of the world's most diverse resources: water. This program gives one opportunities to develop international thinking, common understanding and skills of smoothly working with others towards dealing with prominent global issues. Moreover, playing with water doesn't only give you mental satisfaction, but also nourish you with plenty of knowledge about its hydraulic nature. "Water knows hydraulics more than any!"

Can you say something about studying in Delft/the Netherlands? (Cultural and social experiences)
Delft is an appropriate place for an international institution, UNESCO-IHE, where an international student gains international knowledge and experience about an international issue: water. Moreover, studying in the Netherlands gives an opportunity to interact and share experiences with different people from different cultures, emotions, thinking and backgrounds coming from different parts of the world.

What kind of professional background do you need to succeed in this programme?
Professional background as water resource and irrigation engineer, soil and water engineer, water supply and environmental science engineer or civil engineer is required.

Why should new students/water professionals choose this programme?
As we all know water is everybody's business. Moreover, studying water hydraulics requires analytical knowledge. In addition, water is an international issue which requires an international knowledge to address some of the prevailing water based problems.

Do you have any advice for new students?
Practical work experience is very important.

What are you going to do once back home?
Despite its abundant natural resources, land and water, my country is one of the poorest in the world. When I return right after the accomplishment of the MSc program in Hydraulic Engineering - Land and Water Development, I will try to improve the usual experience of irrigation and drainage system development methodologies of my organization with modern, science and technology based skills in formulating practice driven policies, and strategies for sustainable agricultural development.
