Science Diplomacy Initiative

X

Download

Science diplomacy emerges as an attractive tool to achieve peace and sustainable development worldwide, especially through its catalytic role to solve trans-boundary issues. UNESCO has long-standing experience in bridging peoples and societies through science, with an impact going beyond scientific objectives. In line with the SDGs, this science diplomacy activity will play an integral role to inform and support foreign policy in order to achieve sustainable development as well as to strengthen the collaborative approach between scientists and politicians and facilitate international scientific cooperation. The activity will foster inclusion of the Global South into international science governance mechanisms.
