This section provides access to information and data-processing tools created by UNESCO's Communication and Information Sector to collect data on specific domains related to the Sector activities and share it through a network of partners. The UNESCO Secretariat is responsible for maintaining the tools and selecting partner institutions that provide relevant information.
Micro CDS/ISIS is an advanced non-numerical information storage and retrieval software developed by UNESCO to satisfy the need expressed by many institutions, especially in developing countries, to be able to streamline their information processing activities by using modern (and relatively inexpensive) technologies.

This database contains basic information on the projects supported by the International Programme for the Development of Communication (IPDC) since its creation in 1980. It provides information on the number of projects by country and by region, the amounts allocated, as well as more detailed information on recent projects, including the objectives and results.
