IBE to cooperate with Korean Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation

During the World Education Forum, held in Incheon, South Korea, the IBE and the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation (KICE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Wednesday 20 March 2015. The signing ceremony was attended by IBE Director, Dr. Mmantsetsa Marope and the President of KICE, Dr. Young-Soo Kim.

This is the first cooperative agreement between the IBE and the KICE, and the objective is to collaborate and share curriculum expertise. Both Institutes have already collaborated during the IBE Council, which resulted in the publication of the IBE Working Paper on “Competency-based curriculum and curriculum autonomy in the Republic of Korea” and also in the IBE Diploma on Curriculum Design and Development.
