Building on the international normative instruments such as UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and UNESCO's Recommendation concerning the Promotion and Use of Multilingualism and Universal Access to Cyberspace, the activity will contribute to the integration of open and accessible solutions into targeted policy frameworks and programmes of Member States through international multi-stakeholder mechanisms, in order to empower all citizens, including persons with disabilities and linguistic minorities to participate in inclusive knowledge societies.
