Our Donors

The UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS) opened its doors in Montreal in 2001 with just a handful of staff and a few computers. Today, the Institute is the guardian of the world’s most comprehensive database of education statistics, which is used by UN agencies, governments and donors to monitor progress towards development goals. In addition, it is reinforcing its global databases in the fields of science and technology, culture, and communication.

These achievements would not have been possible without the support of the international community. Our donors provide financial resources and guidance to respond to emerging policy issues. In short, they are active partners in responding to the rising demand for data.

The UIS and its Governing Board would like to thank the following donors for their recent support.
