Communication and Information Activities

People with Disabilities and ICT

The use of ICT in and for education is now seen worldwide as both a necessity and an opportunity.
People with Disabilities and ICT

Over 10% of the world’s population suffers from a variety of disabilities. However, information and communication technologies (ICT) have the potential for making significant improvements in the lives of these persons.

UNESCO works with its partners to promote the use of ICT for access to information and knowledge for all persons, including those with disabilities.
