Ms Hazel Díaz Melendez is the Director, Concessions and Telecommunication Norms, Ministry of science, technology and telecommunications, Costa Rica. She also actively cooperates on issues related to Internet Governance and Human Rights.

Ms Diaz has worked for over 18 years in the protection of human rights in the Ombudsman office of Costa Rica where she has been in charge of the Directions of Quality of Life and Control of Administrative Management of the Government of Costa Rica.

Ms Diaz is a university professor at the University of La Salle in San Jose, where she teaches the course on Business and Human Rights.
