Dr. Karan Singh is a member of India's Upper House of Parliament, the Rajya Sabha. He is a senior member of the Indian National Congress Party. Dr. Singh is India’s representative on UNESCO’s Executive Board. He also has been a member of UNESCO’s International Commission on Education in the Twenty-first Century. He has served as Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University, Jammu and Kashmir University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and NIIT University.
