Dr Lava Deo Awasthi is the Director General of the Department of Education and the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Education in Nepal. Dr Awasthi worked in Government organizations and education institutions in different capacities. Earlier he was the Head of Ministry’s Planning Division and Educational Management Division, including higher education functions of the Ministry of Education.

She plays a key role in supporting governments of the Asia-Pacific region to integrate ICT in their education system, building capacity of teachers and teacher educators to effectively use ICT in their classroom practices and promoting dialogues between various stakeholders to promote ICT-enhanced student-centered learning.
Dr John Blomquist is a Senior Economist in the World Bank's Social Protection Unit. He specialized in the design and evaluation of social assistance and poverty alleviation programs, with experience in Asia, the FSU, Africa and Latin America. He is currently engaged in the preparation of a set of guidelines on the implementation and use of social safety net programs for APEC finance ministers and he recently assisted the Asian Development Bank in the formulation of a draft social protection framework for its operations. Dr. Blomquist holds a Ph.D.

Mr Javed Abidi is the Vice-chair of the Disabled People’s International, a network of national organizations or assemblies of disabled people, established to promote human rights of disabled people through full participation, equalization of opportunity and development. Mr Abidi is also the the Director of National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People, where he worked with business executives from IBM, Apple Inc., Oracle Corporation, Cisco Systems, Microsoft, and Hewlett-Packard to employ disabled individuals in these companies and high tech industry in general.
Mr James Teh is the Executive Director of NV Access Limited. Mr Teh has always been passionate about technology, especially free, open source software and accessibility. Totally blind since birth, he has a strong belief in community and empowerment. In 2006, he joined his long-time friend Michael Curran in the development of the free, award-winning NVDA screen reader, finally facilitating fully independent and free access to Windows computers for themselves and other blind people. James is a founding director of NV Access, the Australian charity set up to support NVDA.
