From 16 to 21 May 2016, Icheon hosted 2016 International Creative City Workshop. The City Mayor and the President of the City Council of Icheon launched the workshop. They emphasized on the importance of fostering exchanges and cooperation within the UCCN, especially with new members.

The workshop’s programme was composed of:

  • an introduction of each participating Creative City, as well as a presentation of Icheon’s cultural and historical background in crafts and folk art, followed by exchanges;
  • a real-time demonstration of Icheon know-how in ceramics and painting; and
  • an exhibition showcasing best quality works of crafts from the participating 8 Creative Cities.
