Saint-Étienne and Nagoya foster the mobility of artists and exchange of know-how

Saint-Étienne and Nagoya foster the mobility of artists and exchange of know-how

When:

Saint-Étienne and Nagoya, both Creative Cities of Design, have undertaken in June 2015 an inter-city project for two textile designers to meet: Maki Takahashi from Nagoya and Hélène Jospé from Saint-Étienne.

This encounter between the two artists has led to a true friendship, an artistic understanding, as well as a fruitful exchange of know-how. Thus, returned to Nagoya, Maki Takahashi has given the opportunity to cooperate with the cultural organisation « Arts Bridge Cities » (ABC) in the framework of a residency, as well as an exhibition. Further to a conference held by the creator on 14 May 2016, her works of art will be showcased at the temple Koukenji of Nagoya from 24 to 28 May 2016.
