阿维拉古城及城外教堂

为了保卫西班牙领土，抵抗摩尔人的入侵，西班牙人于公元11世纪修建了阿维拉城，它又被称为“圣人和石头之城”，圣人泰雷萨在这里出生，宗教大裁判长托尔克马达也埋葬于此。阿维拉城仍保持了中世纪的古朴风貌，这些从它的哥特式教堂和其防御工事可见一斑，其防御工事由82个半圆型塔楼和9个城门组成，是西班牙境内最完整的城堡。
