Prof Alireza Darvishy is the Head of the ICT Accessibility Lab at Zurich University for Applied Sciences, Institute for Applied Information Technology in Winterthur, Switzerland. In addition he is the Professor of Information and Technology (Accessibility, Usability, Human-Computer Interaction and Technologies for Elderly People.) Most recently working at the ICT Lab.
He has rich experience in the area of ICT and has developed many project jointly with private enterprises in Switzerland, including: Talking ATM's, Accessible Online Banking, and Web Accessibility.
Ms Akiko is Chief of the Secretariat for the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and UN/Focal Point on Disability. She is also a Departmental Focal Point for Women of Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations. Ms Ito has extensively lectured and published on issues concerning disability and human rights at the United Nations. Previous to her current post, she worked in Legal Affairs Section of the United Nations Drug Control Programme in Vienna, Austria.
Dr Abeer Shakweer is the Minister’s advisor for Social Responsibility and Services, Ministry of Communication and Information technology (Egypt). Dr Shakweer was working on promoting accessible mobile phones and services. Moreover, Dr Shakweer was a member of the Egyptian delegation to the United Nations Climate Change Negotiations at the COP 15, as well as co-founder and Head of Programs at Ebad El Rahman NGO, 1995.
