Academia

Members of the academic community write books and papers on the UN and teach students about the Organization.  They are vital to the work of the United Nations, because they are making the young people of today, who will be the leaders of tomorrow, aware of the Organization and what it does.  They also foster interest in the Organization.

Academic Impact

United Nations Academic Impact is a programme of the Outreach Division of the Department of Public Information.  It is open to all institutions of higher education granting degrees or their equivalent, as well as bodies whose substantive responsibilities relate to the conduct of research.  It aligns institutions of higher education with the UN in furthering the realization of the purposes and mandate of the Organization through activities and research in a shared culture of intellectual social responsibility.
