Artist's profile
Born in Kurduwadi, Maharashtra and graduated from the Sir J J School of Art, Mumbai. A powerful artist, his canvas exudes an energy that is both positive and yet focused on the negative. In 1984, he won the National Award. The forms within his work, the triangle in particular, combined with the forces of color, are linked to polar energies, the yin and the yang. Lives and works in Pune.
