The Social and Human Sciences of UNESCO Cairo Office is functioning as a focal point of Bioethics and Ethics of Science and Technologies for the Arab Region.  We support the Member States to establish and strengthen the infrastructure to address ethical issues raised along rapid developments in biomedicine, science, and technologies.  We promote ethical reflections through conferences and publications, assist Member States in capacity building through ethics education programme and disseminating information, and support establishment of national regulations.

Following lines of action in cooperation with national, regional, and international organiziations working in these fields are being carried out.
