A New Logo for the Associated Schools
asp-logo.jpgThe ASPnet logo has been redesigned. Why? It was felt that a new logo would give a dynamic image of the 50-year-old network, in keeping with its new orientations. The old ASPnet logo, designed in 1983 by a Bolivian ASPnet student, served the network well for over 20 years. It combined a number of symbols including the globe, a dove, a book, a boy, a girl and the sun.
The new logo consolidates and simplifies the most important symbols: an open book (symbolizing education), which also evokes the wings of a dove (symbolizing peace) and the globe (symbolizing intercultural dialogue). It is henceforth always “twinned” with the UNESCO logo.
