In the framework of the programme on Strengthening Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) for Responsive and Accountable Governance in Rwanda, jointly implemented by UNDP and RGB, a call for project and research proposals was launched in April 2019.
On Tuesday 21 May 2019, the Ministry of Justice, in collaboration with ONE UN Rwanda convened at Marriott Hotel, Kigali, for a high- level consultative meeting with development partners on the Universal Periodic Review (UPR). The main objective of the meeting was to share updates on the status of implementation of the Universal Periodic Review recommendations provided by the United Nations Human Rights Council in November 2015.

The YouthConnekt programme, initiated in 2012 by the Government of Rwanda and UNDP, has been recognized as a practical and effective solution to develop and harness the potential of the largest age demographic in Rwanda—the youth. Rwanda – Prior to the launch of the highly anticipated final season of HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones, actor and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Goodwill Ambassador, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, visited Rwanda. This was in the weeks leading up to the 25th Commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi.
On Tuesday, February 12, 2019 UNDP launched a photo exhibition entitled “Empowered Lives” at the University of Rwanda School of Architecture. The exhibition was aimed at celebrating the joint work and achievements of UNDP and its partners in positively impacting the lives of people over the previous five years of its operations in Rwanda.
