  • This Is How We Rise (Maya Angelou)

    1,392 views 1 month ago
This Is How We Rise, a new film by the United Nations' International Fund for Agricultural Development, is part of a global campaign – Real Groundbreakers – to tackle global hunger through the economic and social empowerment of women and girls through rural and agricultural development.

The film uses the iconic words and voice of humanitarian, activist and poet Maya Angelou and her acclaimed poem 'Still I Rise' to showcase the day in a life of various women food producers. The film was produced by award-winning production company Somesuch & Co and shot and directed by film director Camille Summers-Valli who was on location with women from IFAD-supported projects in rural Nepal and Mozambique.
