Planning for a Certificate in Curriculum Development for Central-East Europe and Central Asia

The IBE is meeting the Vytautas Magnus University (6-7 June 2016, Kaunas, Lithuania) to plan for a Master programme in Educational Innovation featuring a Certificate in Curriculum Development for Central-East Europe and Central Asia.

Details

The meeting started with an official encounter with high-level officials including representatives of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, members of the Parliament, Secretary General of the Lithuanian National Commission, Ambassador of Finland to Lithuania, local authorities and universities. A Memorandum of Understanding between IBE and the Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) was signed to deliver the certificate/master programme.
 
Also, an IBE-VMU technical planning workshop took place with the view to prepare the launching of the programme in the second semester of 2016.
 
The diploma initiative on curriculum was launched by IBE-UNESCO in 2010. To date, 10 editions have been successfully implemented in Africa (Tanzania), Latin America and the Caribbean (Uruguay). A new edition will also be implemented for Arab countries from November 2016 (UAE).
