FILIPINAS by Isa Lorenzo
Photography Exhibition, February 28 to March 8 2007 - Foyer I

Filipinas.jpg Organized in collaboration with the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of the Philippines to UNESCO

Thirty exceptional Filipina women were photographed by Isa Lorenzo. These women come from all walks of life: they are mothers, teachers, writers, artists, lawyers, doctors, diplomats, civic workers, and public servants who have shaped their professions and communities and who have helped create the cultural fabric of their times. These are the patrons and advocates, the spokespersons and activists, as well as the anonymous defenders who contributed to the Philippine culture and left their imprint on the collective memory of Filipinos as a people.
