FEMALE LUMINARIES OF JAPAN, FROM YESTERDAY AND TODAY
Round table March 9 2007, 10:00am – Room IV
 
Organized in collaboration with the Comité de la Journée Franco-Japonaise de la Femme

Morning events will focus on the evolution of Japanese women’s social status and the cultural changes they experienced as seen through dress and style. The afternoon will focus on the feminist movement in Japan and women entrepreneurs in Japanese society today.

Invited guests will include:


  • Ms Youko Kirishima, writer;
  • Ms Akiko Ide, Senior Vice President, NTT DoCoMo; ;
  • and Ms Atsuko Morita, President, St. Louis International.
