Presentation of PERSIST project with exhibition

The CI side event will present to participants of the General Conference the results and prospects of the UNESCO PERSIST project and will open the exhibition of educational materials prepared by the Memory of the World Sub-Committee on Education and Research.
The CI side event has a twofold aim: to present to participants in the General Conference the results and prospects of the UNESCO PERSIST project and to open the exhibition of Memory of the World (MoW) Educational materials prepared by the MoW Sub-Committee on Education and Research.

The UNESCO PERSIST project - A Digital Roadmap for Long‐Term Access to Digital Heritage is a platform that brings together the ICT industry, governments and heritage institutions in order to exchange and to collectively work on solutions for digital preservation.

The exhibition (in front of room XI) shows two best-practice examples of the Memory of the World Sub-Committee on Education and Reserach Network, presenting didactic materials on items of the MoW International Register for museums and for school children of all ages and an advanced ICTs table that shows digitized examples of the International Register of the Memory of the World Programme.
