In the framework of the "Caucasus" project and UNESCO Chairs /UNITWIN network, a UNESCO Chair in Intercultural dialogue has been created in 2006.Following the creation of this Chair at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, a Round table "Caucasus – Perspective of Intercultural Dialogue" was organized in Tbilisi, (21-22 June 2007) by the Chair.


This Round table gathered representatives, experts and Chair holders from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, and from the Federation of Russia and from Moldova. It gave birth to concrete recommendation for further co-operation at regional and interregional levels, especially between UNESCO Chairs.
