Private and philanthropic actors have been increasingly active in development over the last few decades, filling important resource and knowledge gaps. This policy brief aims to deepen the understanding of private and blended development cooperation and suggest elements to consider for the review of their effectiveness and impact in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Monitoring the results and impact of development cooperation requires an effective effort to share information and monitor and review progress made at all levels, with governments tasked to track, collect, assess and exchange relevant information. This policy brief explores the potential of country results frameworks (CRFs) as a mechanism to support SDG implementation.
