    The Director-General of UNESCO, Mr Ko´chiro Matsuura designated the famous Philippine theatre company “Eartshavers DREAMS Ensemble” as UNESCO Artists for Peace in the presence of the President of the Philippines, H. E. Mrs Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo at a nomination ceremony at UNESCO Headquarters on 29 September 2003. The company was founded by Ms Cecile Guidote-Alvarez and is composed of artists from disadvantaged backgrounds and indigenous communities. More
