The poster is a creation of the artist Benn. Born in 1905 in Bielostok (Russian Federation), he began to give drawing lessons as an adolescent and, in 1924, founded an academy of painting in a garret. In 1929, he earned a scholarship to France where he eventually settled. Bennís best-known work is the series entitled Psalms, paintings on biblical themes in memory of his parents who perished during the war. His style is characterized by a simplicity of line and a sense of fervour.
