UNESCO & UN REFORM

Cape Verde

UNESCO's participation in the "Delivering as one" Pilot in Cape Verte is assured by the Regional Bureau for Education and UNESCO Cluster Office in Dakar.

UNESCO along with the other Non Resident Agencies (NRA) has explored with the UN Country Team further strategic dimensions that could be added on the basis of the UNDAF – to the current ExCom Agencies Common Country Programme (CCP) as a “complement” to it. The objective is to use the CCP and its complement as the ‘One Programme’, which provide a basis for the development of additional joint programmes. The UNCT identified a number of areas in order to be able to submit an application for the Spanish MDG Funds. UNESCO is part of a joint programme improving local management of environmental resources and service delivery and will take the lead in outreach, awareness raising and in capacity building for policy stakeholders.
