UNESCO & UN REFORM

Rwanda

UNESCO does not have an office or physical presence in Rwanda. The country falls under the coverage of UNESCO’s Cluster Office in Nairobi.

The Director of the Office has carried out a number of missions to Rwanda to participate in "Delivering as one" meetings and has designated 3 focal points from the Office to provide support in the process for Culture, Education and Science.

A concept paper to guide the reform process was signed in Spring 2007 by the Government and UN Agencies. UNESCO signed this concept paper on 18 September 2007.
