Download

The global Out-of-School Children Initiative (OOSCI) was launched in 2010 jointly between UNICEF and the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS). In short, OOSCI aims to support countries in achieving a breakthrough in reducing the number of out-of-school children by developing comprehensive profiles of excluded children, using innovative statistical methods, by linking these profiles to the barriers and bottlenecks that lead to exclusion and by identifying and implementing sound policies that address exclusion.
