Creada en 1953, la Red del Plan de Escuelas Asociadas de la UNESCO (redPEA), comúnmente conocida como Escuelas Asociadas de la UNESCO, es una red mundial de unos 8000 establecimientos escolares en 177 países (escuelas parvularias, primarias y secundarias e institutos de formación superior), en la cual todos trabajan en favor de una educación de calidad.

Concurso de fotografía "Cambiar la realidad: La búsqueda de la igualdad de género en la educación"
27-04-2009 () - Como parte de la iniciativa para promover la igualdad entre los sexos en la educación, la Oficina de la UNESCO en Bangkok, en colaboración con la Iniciativa de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación de las Niñas (UNGEI), se complace en convocar el Concurso de Fotografía 2009 sobre el tema "Cambiar la realidad: La búsqueda de la igualdad de género en la educación".

Todos los trabajos concursantes han de obrar en poder de la Oficina de la UNESCO en Bangkok a más tardar el 31 de julio de 2009. La selección se llevará a cabo en la misma Oficina, durante el mes de agosto. Las 13 fotos ganadoras se darán a conocer a finales de septiembre de 2009.
