Fully convinced of the foundational importance of the heritage in rebuilding a country, Rwanda is drawing up an inventory of its cultural and natural heritage in order to present a Tentative List.

UNESCO is assisting this operation through the loan of expertise as well as help in training personnel under the Africa 2009 Programme.
In the field of intercultural dialogue, Rwanda participates in a project aimed at strengthening interreligious women's associations.
