Social Inclusion of People Living With Disabilities

This project aims to build the capacity of the national institutions that work or should work for the rights of people living with disabilities.

It will provide training in order to increase the understanding of the UNCRPD, which Indonesia has recently signed.

Given UNESCO expertise and previous work, this project focuses on the following rights: access to education, right to participate in social life and right to take part on risk reduction strategies.

This project also supports youth living with disabilities’ participation and civic education through:

    • Supporting a new generation of youth leaders with DPOs

    • Supporting youth civic engagement, and citizenship for youth living with disabilities

    • Supporting initiatives towards an inclusive education
